The facility will store energy by pulling power off the grid during off-peak hours and pushing it back during high demand periods to stabilize the grid and reduce prices. The project has been in development for about 2 years and could begin construction as early as 2030 if approved. It will be built on 112 acres with only 30 acres disturbed, and will be interconnected with the PJM regional transmission grid. |
