Description | Several large companies including Ball Corporation, Timberlab, ATI, and Gordon Truck Centers are investing over $500 million to build manufacturing plants and other industrial facilities in Millersburg, Oregon. The city has become a hub for industrial growth due to its low property taxes, available industrial land, pro-development attitude, and proximity to Interstate 5 and railroads. The city has invested in infrastructure such as water filtration, wastewater treatment, and a new Pacific Power substation to support industrial users. Timberlab is building a 185,000 square foot mass timber manufacturing facility with plans for additional buildings. Ball Corporation is planning a facility potentially larger than 500,000 square feet. The city also owns about 70 acres of undeveloped industrial land and is selective about the types of businesses it attracts. |
