Key projects include a 65-acre basin in Wauwatosa with a half-mile underground tunnel carrying water to a 315-million-gallon basin, an expanded reservoir at Hart Park designed to store floodwater, and the removal of concrete lining in Lincoln Creek to allow river expansion and protect homes. Additionally, the Greenseams program acquires land with hydric soils to absorb and store floodwater upstream, protecting watersheds and supporting structural flood management projects. |
