Description | JSW Steel has announced the development of the Minas de Revuboè (MdR) coking coal mining project located in the Moatize coal basin in Tete Province, Mozambique. The project aims to access significant reserves of premium hard coking coal essential for steel production, with an estimated 850 million tonnes of coal reserves and a potential production of around 250 million tonnes of usable coking coal over the mine's life. The initial phase will produce 2.4 million tonnes per annum of prime hard coking coal and is expected to be completed within approximately two and a half years. |
