Description | On June 6, 2011, a local private company Wuhan Kaidi Electric Power signed an agreement with the Minqin County Government to finance, build and operate a biomass power plant in Minqin County, Gansu Province. The total investment is RMB 300 million (US$ 45.85 million) and Kaidi has 100% stake in it. The plan has a capacity of 30MW. According to the website of Minqin County Government, by December 12, 2011, the front development has been progressing very well. The site has been chosen, site surveying finished, biomass resource investigation completed, land transfer agreement signed, and geotechnical surveying completed. The project is now being reported to the provincial level government for approval and the feasibility study report is in progress. Once completed, the power plant will be connected to the State Grid Corporation (National Grid). |
