Miramichi Transit Authority - Fleet Renewal

This project consists of implementing a public transit fleet renewal plan for the City of Miramichi’s transit authority - the Miramichi Public Transit Commission - in order for them to maintain a minimum of six (6) 24-passenger transit vehicles to sustain the current level of service. The scope of the project includes purchasing one (1) new 24-passenger transit bus annually until 2027-28, in order to sustain its service level and retire buses from use once they reach 300,000 km of service. The project would see the purchase of seven (7) new public transit buses. This project aims to ensure the growing public transit ridership in the City of Miramichi has access to safe, reliable, and modern public transit service. The project will improve the City’s capacity, quality, and safety of its public transit infrastructure.
