Description
Description | This project involves the construction of a new wellness multiplex in the City of Miramichi, New Brunswick. The new multiplex will replace six aging and deteriorating recreation facilities within the community. The new multiplex will include: A six lane 25 metre pool and separate leisure pool; An 1,800 seat arena; A gymnasium; Community kitchen; and, Multi-purpose rooms. This project will support the construction of the new multiplex; however, the City of Miramichi is taking on costs associated to the sitework, professional fees and land acquisition themselves. The project will enable the community to improve access to cultural, recreational and community infrastructure that is energy efficient by constructing a new wellness multiplex that will be open to the community for all ages and abilities and meeting the long-term needs of the community. |
