MISE EN OEUVRE DU PAGIRE DU SENEGAL

The present intervention is relative to the project to implement the Integrated Water Resources Management Action Plan (PAGIRE) of Senegal. It aims to contribute to the fight against poverty by improving people's living conditions by increasing the availability of water resources for production activities, their efficient use and their protection against the negative impacts of human activities. The project falls entirely within the framework of the African Water Vision for 2025 horizons and should provide a concrete response to a need identified in the Action Plan for Integrated Water Resources Management (PAGIRE) of Senegal. The project has five main components, including: (1) improving knowledge of water resources; (2) improving water resources planning; (3) improving regulatory system and pricing system; (4) sensitization of actors and decision-makers; (5) Institutional capacity building and preparation of a PAGIRE funding program by 2025.
