Description

Mission Drishti is the world's first OptoSAR satellite launched by Bengaluru-based space startup Galaxeye. It integrates electro-optical (EO) and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors into a single operational platform to capture high-resolution images during sunlight and clear skies and provide all-weather, all-time images using radar pulses. The satellite successfully completed a major portion of its planned Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and validated key spacecraft systems before losing contact due to an anomaly triggered by a geomagnetic solar storm.
