Description | The project involves the development of a new filtration facility at the Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant (MHWTP) located in Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada. The new filtration system will help reduce the susceptibility of water quality issues caused by turbidity events and seasonal algae in Kalamalka Lake. The scope of work includes the construction of a new water filtration system, a new building for labs & control rooms as well as the upgradation of waste stream handling, related piping and equipment and control systems.The project aims to improve water quality, increase access to clean drinking water, and strengthen the resiliency of the plant providing better services to inhabitants of Greater Vernon. |
