Description | Mantra Tanzania Ltd, a subsidiary of Uranium One Group under Rosatom, has commissioned a pilot uranium processing facility at the Mkuju River project in southern Tanzania. The pilot facility at the Nyota deposit will test uranium processing technologies and develop optimization solutions. The main processing facility, planned to produce up to 3000 tons of uranium annually, is scheduled for construction start in Q1 2026 and operations commencement in 2029. The project aims to create around 4000 jobs and improve regional infrastructure including road upgrades in the Namtumbo district. |
