Description | Scatec ASA has reached commercial operation on the second 60 MW unit of the 120 MW Mmadinare Solar Cluster in Botswana. The project is the first portfolio of Scatec in Botswana, with the initial 60 MW phase commissioned in March. Both plants supply power to Botswana Power Corporation under a 25-year power purchase agreement. Scatec holds full ownership but plans to bring in equity partners in the long term. The combined plants are expected to produce around 280 GWh of clean electricity annually. |
