MMK Toll Road Private Limited was created to improve and operate the section of Mohol - Kurul Kamti, Madrup of NH 13 road SH 149 Km 66/00 to 99/400 in Solapur Dist under BOT basis. The total length was 33.4 km. The project was awarded by Public Works Department on behalf of Government of Maharashtra to IRB Infrastructure under a 16 year concession contract including 18 months of construction period. The concession contract was signed in May 2002 and the starting period (construction) was also May 2002. The construction phase was completed in January 2004. The concession period was to end in May 2018. The public works included: Widening of existing Carriageway = 33.400 Kms Widening / Reconstruction of Minor Bridges = 9 Nos. Widening / Reconstruction of CD Works = 21 Nos. Widening / Reconstruction of Canal Crossing = 7 Nos. Construction new HP Drains = 22 Nos Junction & Curve Improvements = 16 Nos. Construction of Bus-bays = 6 Nos. Construction of new Bypass = 1.4 Kms Construction of Toll Plaza Operation and Maintenance till end of concession Period The project cost was estimated to be INR 180 Millions (US$3.7 million). The project reached financial closure in May 2002 with a loan from State Bank of India.
