Description

Description

The main objective of the MOBHYLYS (MOBility with HYdrogen at LYon Saint-Exupéry Airport) project is to accelerate the decarbonisation of the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport activities by deploying renewable hydrogen infrastructure. The specific objectives of the projects are to deploy 2 Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS), and 1 renewable hydrogen production unit (electrolyser) in France, at the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport. Specifically, the project will deploy: - One public Hydrogen Refueling Station on the airport 'landside', - One private Hydrogen Refueling Station on the airport 'airside', - One electrolyser, located on the 'landside', close to the two HRS, with a power capacity of 5 MW. The MOBHYLYS project is part of the Aéroports de Lyon commitment to reduce the airport’s carbon footprint and its ambitious plan to deploy a decarbonised hydrogen hub. Hydrogen fuel is considered as a key element in the transition to cleaner aviation, offering the potential for significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The deployment of a hydrogen hub at the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport will enable the airport to support the infrastructure needed for hydrogen-powered aircrafts in the future.
