Description | This cooperative agreement will fund a Model UN Conference in Kabul, Afghanistan. This award will create opportunities for between 120 and 150 university students (ages 18 to 30) from four to five provinces across Afghanistan to develop important skills including public speaking, critical thinking, and in-depth research as they prepare the delegations. Through the process of preparing for and participating in the Model UN conference in Kabul, delegates will learn how the international community acts on its concerns about topics such as peace and security, human rights, the environment, food and hunger, economic development, and globalization. |
