Modernisation of Madrid-Sevilla High-Speed Line

Thales has won the Adif contract for the renewal of the field cabinets and associated equipment of the Falling Object Detection Systems (DCO) for the Madrid-Sevilla high-speed line, as well as various other modernisation works. The project includes the installation of 235 new cabinets to replace the old Debris Detection Equipment (EDD) cabinets, renovation of signalling installations, DCO detection meshes on overpasses, and the rollout of the ERTMS Level 2 automatic train protection system. Additionally, Thales will install more than 1,300 new TTC track circuits designed in-country.
