Description
Description | The quality of healthcare in Uzbekistan does not yet meet international standards. One reason for this is outdated training and continuing education methods. At the vocational schools in the Surxondaryo region, as in the rest of the country, the practical preparation of medical specialists, especially at the middle level, is still inadequate. The training is dominated by theoretical frontal teaching. As a result, the trained staff are not fully operational after completing the vocational school and require in-depth training in the facilities, which in turn affects the quality of service provision. The current premises available at the medical vocational school in Termez (as well as the branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy) do not meet the requirements of modern teaching methods. In particular, the use of modern technology and training on modern technical equipment is lacking in the lessons. Currently, the equipment is not available in the training facilities, nor do the curricula contain sufficient practical lessons. The aim of the module is to improve the quality of medical training and continuing education of medical personnel (in the first step of the middle level) - especially in the application of advanced medical technologies - and to make it more practical by setting up a modern training and simulation center in Termez. The project consists of an investment measure and an accompanying measure. A training and simulation center is to be set up and equipped in Termez. With the help of the accompanying measure, management and governance structures are to be set up, a business plan (personnel planning, financing and financial management, management and maintenance of assets and buildings) is to be developed and the management and trainers are to be trained. |
