Modernization of multi-profile medical centers of regional level IV (Inv.)

Lack of quality assurance and fragmentation of health care systems, including laboratories, lead to quality defects and inefficiency in diagnostics and clinical decision-making processes, thus endangering the health care of the population. The module objective is to improve the quality, efficiency and sustainability of medical care in the multi-profile centers at the regional level in the program regions. This is to be achieved by modernizing medical equipment, introducing modern care methods, implementing rationalization and optimization measures and structural rehabilitation according to efficiency criteria. This is intended to contribute to the development cooperation program goal of improving the health of the entire population. The investment locations will - subject to Uzbekistan's approval - include up to three additional multi-profile centers in Syr Darya Oblast (city of Gulistan), Tashkent Oblast (Tashkent Oblast multi-profile center) and the city of Tashkent (urban multi-profile center). The target group of the program is the adult population of Uzbekistan. A total of around 7.6 million people live in the currently prioritized program regions, of which around 5.6 million are adults.
