Modernization of Washroom and Change Room for Fitness Centre at Seniors’ Centre

Objective: -create a change room/heath room for fitness centre users -refresh the last original existing washroom to meet Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and building code (all other washrooms have been renovated to meet building and AODA codes) -build storage/counter space to create a laundry facility area Known as "Phase 3" - final Phase of larger renovation project, scope includes: -demolition and preparation of washroom and area on fitness centre -purchase fixtures, millwork, building materials -installation of fixtures, millwork, laundry machines, plumbing Previously funded and complete (not in this scope): Phase 1 & 2: completion of existing washrooms (4), tendering, engineering, contractor, drawings & design, permits, installation of ventilation for dryer, purchase of washer/dryer, tiles North York Seniors Centre (NYSC) serves seniors 55+, Active Living Centre serves 1300+individuals annually -all will benefit from accessible, safe, clean & hygienic environment & equipment -100+ use fitness centre and will benefit from having a change room -55+ volunteers working in kitchen will benefit from having a safe/clean work enviornment
