ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited [Formerly Essar Steel India Limited] is planning for Modification in Existing Plant by Installing Auxiliary Facilities without Increasing Plant Capacity located at 27th km, Notified Hazira Industrial Area, Surat Hazira Road, Surat-394270, Gujarat. 1. Coal briquetting Plant [1000 TPD] 2. BF - PCI Project [80 T/Hr] 3. Ladle furnace-5 4. Lime Kiln [500 TPD] 5. Rotary Kiln [200 TPD] 6. Additional Ladle Furnace [LF7] 7. Blast Furnace Dust Catcher /Dust separation unit -150 TPD 8. Acid Regeneration Plant-100 KL & Pickling line-3 9. Tank Farm-2 with interconnection between PKL-3 & ARP-2 10. BF slag grinding mill [BOO]- 50 TPD 11. New Cooling towers for Mod-1,2,3,4,5 and 6 12. Mod 4 additional VPSA to utilize Corex gas and going forward Coke oven gas 13. Slag Conditioning & Metal Recovery plant 14. Hot metal Pretreatment Station Outside Shop 15. Thick Plate Normalizing Furnace 16. Shot blasting machine 17. VD Cooling Tower 18. RHD Cooling Tower 19. Water Treatment Plant for 500 MW CCPP 20. SMP-1 Fume Extraction System upgradation 21. CRM-2 and other modifications The project is expected to generate employment for 1770 people [380 Direct and 1390 Indirect]. It is well understood that approximately additional 9000 people will be positively impacted by the project.
