Information Eastern Coal Fields Limited [ECL] has come up with Mohanpur Expansion OC -Phase II with a ticket size of 888.99 INR Crores. This project in Coal sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project It is a brownfield Project. Coal production started from the existing mines since nationalization in 1975. Mohanpur Expansion OC , Phase-II 2.50 MTY is the expansion of Mohanpur Expansion OC 1.0 MTY working mine. PR of Mohanpur Expansion OCP was prepared in the year 2008 with a planned production of 1.0 MTY. The PR was approved in Partial Outsourcing mode in June,2008 with an additional capital investment of 14.23 crore. CIL Board in 414th meeting held on 11.11.2020 accorded its approval of PR for Mohanpur Expansion OC Phase-II 2.50 MTY in partial outsourcing mode with an additional capital investment of Rs 888.99 crores The PR has been planned for capacity of 2.50 MTY which will be achieved in 3rd year. EC : granted on 10.05.2022 for 2.5 MTY. FC : No forest land involved. Target for FY 22-23 is 1.10 MT, Achievement for FY 22-23 is 1.082 MT, Target for FY 23-24 is 2.0 MT, Achievement for FY 23-24 till Jan-24 is 1.451 MT.
