Mon Chien, Dieu et les Pokétrucs is a CG animation TV special 52’ for children aged 6 to 10, written by Marine Lachenaud and co-directed with her brother Cédric Lachenaud. Between her dog Bagpipe, her Magic Monsters collection and her friends, Pauline leads a peaceful life until the day her parents take in a family of Syrian refugees, including Zein who is the same age as her: eight. The cohabitation gets off to a rocky start for Pauline, who learns that she has to share a room with Zein. As well as her friends, her Magic Monsters and her dog! Pauline no longer has a choice: if Zein is to return to Syria, she has to stop the war! Mon chien, Dieu et les Pokétrucs is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Myren Duval, published by Éditions du Rouergue. This film heightens awareness, brings cultures closer together, and opens children (and their parents) up to otherness, teaching them that diversity is a source of richness. Its universal story and deep themes offer an undeniable European added value, while arousing the interest of viewers around the world. Mon Chien, Dieu et les Pokétrucs is a new European co-production with Doghouse Films (Luxembourg), that is itself bringing a non-French-language broadcaster for co-production, RTL and TNZPV Productions (Arles, France) with France Télévisions broadcaster. These two renowned animation production companies, joined by the international sales agent New Europe Films Sales based in Poland, have combined their expertise to create a TV Special of the highest artistic and technical quality, with a view to bringing it to a wide audience, whether on television, at festivals, in theaters or on online platforms. CPF is interested in theatrical distribution in France, which could guarantee a potential of 100 000 viewers in France. In partnership with Actes Sud, we will be developing a range of derivative editions and licensing products. We intend to further produce new adventures of Pauline’s world.
