Description

Description

We have replaced and/or installed a chart recorder and a chlorine analyser amongst other electronic monitoring equipment. These recent addition and/or upgrades have been wired into the current generator which already supports all 4 pumping stations which include a total of 9 pumps. These new additions and/or upgrades are causing the current generator to be at or exceeding its’ capacity. The emergency generator currently being used exceeds 24 yrs and is far passed end of life expectancy and could fail at any time regardless of the regular monthly maintenance being done to it. Should this emergency generator fail, there is no back up which would mean the pumping stations and it’s pumps would not function during power outages which are frequent here. We need to install a sound emergency back up generator that can maintain the amount of electricity required to operate all pumps including electronic monitoring equipment. Such an upgrade to the Water Distribution/Generator Building would benefit all residents who depend on this system for clean, potable water.
