Description | Montalban Methane Power Corporation (MMPC) developed the 9.25MW Land Fill Gas fueled power plant, Rodriguez, Rizal. The land fill site was 12 hectares. The project was commissioned in June 2009. Consulting was provided by Japan Engineering Consultants (JEC) on the feasibility. The project was to operate for at least 5 years, but potentially 10 years. Feasibility study was conducted from September 2006 to May 2007. Total project cost was reported at P1.5 billion in 2007, although at that time the plant was expected to be "up to 15MW". Estimated here is a total cost of P1.5 billion (US$36.9 million). Financial closure date was unavailable, but estimated here at June 2009 (Commissioning Year).
