Monterey Park Data Center Ban Measure NDC

planned

Measure NDC is a ballot measure in Monterey Park, California, proposing a citywide ban on data centers. The measure aims to amend the Monterey Park Land Use and Urban Design Element to prohibit data centers defined as structures on one or more acres used for large-scale data storage and processing, with exemptions for smaller accessory facilities. The measure responds to public concerns about environmental, health, and utility impacts of hyperscale data centers.
