Montgomery Dam Removal and Harbor Resilience Improvements

The project involves removing the town-owned Montgomery Dam and redesigning the adjacent Harbor Park shoreline to reduce flood risk during extreme rain events, prevent frequent overtopping and costly rebuilding of the connected sea wall, and restore fish passage throughout the Megunticook Watershed. It includes final design and permitting for fish passage and resilience improvements at additional town-owned fish passage barrier locations and aims to restore natural river and floodplain function while making Camden's waterfront more resilient.
