Montrose Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

The project is an upgrading of the existing plant to refurbish old components, provide for increased operator feedback, and address health and safety concerns. It also increases system redundancy, and includes a coagulant dosing system to provide a means of reducing phosphorus in the effluent stream below limits established by the Municipal Wastewater Regulation. The upgrades proposed are intended to move the WWTP toward compliance with the Municipal Wastewater Regulation. The project works will include: - Installation of a clarifier splitter box; - Construction of a headworks building; - Installation of a new electrical service; - Replacement of aerator equipment; - Refurbishment of Clarifier #1 and #2; - Installation of oxidation ditch mixer; - Upgrade to sludge holding/thickening tank; - Re-routing of raw influent line to headworks screening; and, - Necessary civil, electrical, and mechanical works associated with the wastewater treatment plant upgrades.
