Description
Description | The objective of this project is primarily to complete upgrades at the Moore Crescent Sewage Pumping Station. This is to include upgrades to the existing incoming master control center (MCC) panels as well as replacement of the existing 20kW diesel generator and electric heater that have reached the end of their useful lives. The scope of work is to engage a consulting engineer to complete the detailed design and associated tendering and construction administration tasks culminating in the selection of a contractor and the replacement of the existing MCC panels with variable frequency drives and associated controls. The MCC is to include a Programmable Logic Controller and Ethernet connections and be connected to the Town’s existing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system through an antenna or cell phone connection as appropriate. The work is also to include the replacement of the Miltronics level control unit and the addition of an electromagnetic flow meter in both pumping stations. The existing electric heating is to be replaced with a new system such as natural gas. The existing transfer switches are expected to be reused along with the existing dialers however a condition evaluation is to be completed. |
