Description
Description | The sewage lagoon required to be dredged and cleaned to remove excessive sludge to meet the regulatory requirements of Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), etc. The sewage lagoon system consistently fails to meet the effluent discharge criteria. The exceedances contribute to the adverse impact on the receiving water body. One of the main reason is that the lagoon system is full of sludge and cells must be cleaned to provide required treatment area. Successful completion of this project will ensure that untreated wastewater does not enter the environment and negatively impact surrounding communities. The removal works are capitalized as they extend the life of the asset. |
