Morocco - Electricity Project I

The present intervention relates to the Electricity project I. It constitutes the first tranche of the extension program of the high and medium voltage networks for electricity transmission and distribution in the provinces of Settat, Meknes, Kenitra, Tangier and Agadir. The project is an integral part of the overall energy program and is part of the country's overall development effort. It focuses on the construction of new 150 KV and 60 KV transmission lines and transformer and distribution substations in five sub-assemblies. The project Electricity I should allow the National Office of Electricity (ONE) to meet the growing demand for electricity and supply of energy to consumption centers in five regions. It includes: (i) the installation of 55 km of lines at 150 KV, (ii) the installation of 155 km of lines at 60 KV, (iii) the construction and extension of ten transformation stations at 150 / 60 KV and 60/20 KV.
