Description
Description | The Results-Based Programme for Improving Access to Employment (PARAAE) has been designed in accordance with the new Results-Based Financing (RBF) Instrument Guidelines, and used by the Bank for the first time in Morocco. The operation was prepared in response to a request from the Government of Morocco that has already successfully utilised the same instrument with other development partners. Its implementation will contribute to efficient public spending on employment promotion and skills development by developing performance indicators, with a commitment to achieve tangible results. With its results-based financing approach, this operation aims to improve the living conditions of the Moroccan people and promote social cohesion through employment and skills development. In support of Government's programme, PARAAE has been designed based on three elements: the programme's duration, national priorities, and social categories. PARAAE will be implemented over four fiscal years, from 2018 to end-2021. The Bank's financing stands at USD 96.6 million, or 16.96% of the total cost of the Government programme amounting to USD 569.65 million. |
