Morris Street Bike Lane Project

planned

The Morris Street East Connection is a proposed bicycle network that would connect Morris Street, University Avenue, and segments of South Street, Cartaret Street, and Oakland Road via bike lanes. The project involves turning Morris Street into a one-way street for vehicles to accommodate the bike lanes. The project has been approved by Halifax council, with 60% of the 53-kilometre cycling network complete. The project cost has increased from a projected $25 million to an estimated $90 million.
