Description | Neoenergia, a subsidiary of Iberdrola in Brazil, has opened the Poções III/Medeiros Neto II section of the Morro do Chapéu transmission line project. This section spans 317 kilometres with 629 towers operating at 500 kV and includes the installation of 633 MVAr at the Poções III and Medeiros Neto II substations. It is the fourth of five sections in the Morro do Chapéu project, which is part of Lot 2 of the 2020 auction by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel). The entire project spans 1,091 kilometres across Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Espírito Santo states, supporting energy transport and grid expansion in the Northeast Region of Brazil. |
