Project Most-Brucke is the first step in Kontrast's long-term plan to promote domestic/regional authors across Europe. Project consists of translation of 11 works by regional (Serbian, Bosnian and Croatian) authors in German Language and translation of 10 works by German and Austrian authors into Serbian Language. Literature, and literary translation as well, often is considered as a bridge toward other cultures, and the name of the project (with Serbian and German words for Bridge) refers to that such a true comparison. The collaboration between Kontrast Publishing (RS) and eta-Verlag (DE) will result in 1. reaching OBJECTIVES (translation, publication, promotion and dissemination of selected works, transnational mobility; visibility of translators, authors and EU; audience development; innovative business models), 2. performing ACTIVITIES (translation of works, their publication as hardcopy and ebook, organizing promotional activities in Serbia/Germany and hosting authors, establishing new collaborations, dissemination in bookstores and online platforms. List of BENEFICIARIES includes participating countries (Serbia, Germany, Austria), regional countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina), institutions and companies (Kontrast publishing doo, Eta-Verlag, European Union) and individuals (authors and translators). Primary RESULTS include translation, publication, promotion of 20 literary works from 4 European languages, audience development, new business models implemented, new collaborations, promotion of regional authors in foreign markets. Main OUTPUTS of the project are new translations in Serbia and Germany, new collaborations in all aspects of publishing business, dissemination in bookstores, online platforms, book fairs and festivals, as well as numerous promotional activities.
