PATRONES&ESCONDITES, a Barcelona-based video game studio renowned for pioneering new interactive storytelling formats and narrative games, is embarking on the creation and launch of their groundbreaking project, Most Wanted (MoWa), marking the inception of the first true crime video game. Drawing inspiration from authentic investigative procedures, our ambition is to elevate the narrative and experiential quality, immersing participants in the genuine role of a true detective. Our overarching objective is to craft an exceptional interactive narrative experience that transcends boundaries and achieves international acclaim. To realize this vision, PATRONES&ESCONDITES will collaborate with professionals of diverse nationalities. To develop an unparalleled detective game centered on a real unsolved crime, our artistic and technical endeavors will concentrate on delivering authentic gameplay through a non-linear narrative, distinctive art style, and top-tier voice-over, sound design, and music production. With this application, we seek funding to create a prototype of interactive storytelling featuring original content and high-quality gameplay, intended for production and global commercial release across various platforms, including PCs (Windows and MacOS), consoles (PS5, XBOX Series, and Switch), and mobile devices (Android and iOS). The funds will also contribute to the creation of a technical bible to streamline the production process.
