Motion Bay Road Extension - Watermain Protection

This project consists of ditching and controlled storm water runoff that will prevent further erosion in the Town of Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove. It will also reinstate the ground cover that has been removed by erosion over the years to provide the protection of the existing water main that currently services approximately 211 households. The scope of the project includes ditching and erosion control measures along Motion Bay Road Extension and reinstate the ground cover over the existing watermain, including the construction of a retaining wall for a short section which is prone to washouts. The project aims to control storm water runoff to prevent future erosion of the ground cover on the existing watermain and to replace the lost fill material on the existing watermain.
