Description | Ascension Reformed Church is renovating and restoring the nearly 140-year-old Mount Auburn Baptist Church building located at 2147 Auburn Ave. Phase one renovations include demolition of a school building, plaster repair throughout the church, gutting the basement, and creating a children's play space. Original architectural details are being preserved under Champlin Architecture. The first phase is expected to cost around $1 million and near completion by fall 2025. The total project is estimated at $5 million, with a significant portion of labor expected to be volunteer-based. |
