Description | The Mount Barker Hospital Redevelopment is a $365.8 million project to build a new hospital in the Adelaide Hills. The new hospital will have triple the inpatient capacity, increasing from 34 beds to 102 beds, and will include specialist wards for maternity, pediatric, neonatal, medical, surgical, and subacute care including palliative care beds. It will also feature contemporary operating theatres, dedicated Aboriginal Health and Allied health facilities, an onsite dispensing pharmacy, a new 12-bed mental health unit, and a multi-deck car park with 395 spaces. The project has reached a major construction milestone with the installation of the final structural beams for the hospital building and car park, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. |
