Description | Mount Clemens, Michigan, is undertaking a $6.5 million Downtown Revitalization Project funded by federal, state, and local sources. The project includes infrastructure upgrades such as removal of curbs for accessibility, underground sewer and electrical upgrades, repaved roads, public space enhancements including a relocated and expanded fountain stage, new lighting, murals, and strategic land repurposing by relocating city hall and fire department to free up riverfront property for mixed-use development. The project aims to create a pedestrian-friendly environment and address long-standing infrastructure gaps, with completion slated for November 2025 and additional greenery and amenities planned for 2026. |
