Description | The Mountain Road Technology Park was a proposed 427-acre data center campus along Mountain Road near the Henrico County line in Hanover County, Virginia. The project, backed by Denver-based Tract, included five data center buildings, up to three substations, and was expected to demand hundreds of megawatts of electricity. It involved rezoning the land from agricultural to light industrial use and was projected to be built out through 2034. The developer proposed proffers including $15 million for water infrastructure improvements, $6 million for parkland preservation and conservation projects, transportation improvements along Route 33, and restrictions on generator use and construction activity. |
