Description | Mountain View Golf Course is a very popular destination for all Yukoners including indigenous and youth groups who travel from outside of Whitehorse to make use of the facility. The facility serves as an important summer activity and venue for Yukoners. Upgrades to the irrigation system will increase the reliability of old system which was installed from 1987-89 and decrease or eliminate the eight main issues and risks that are currently impacting Mountain View Golf Club. o Failure of the existing irrigation system piping; o Failure of the existing irrigation system electrical power; o Failure of the existing irrigation control systems; o Failed watering cycles; o Inadequate watering; o Overwatering fairways; o Underwatering fairway edges; and o Damage to the greens. Overall, the project will reduce maintenance costs along with providing a reliable irrigation system. |
