Mountain Views Supervisory District New Middle and High School

planned

A $112 million plan approved by voters in the Mountain Views Supervisory District to build a new middle and high school to replace the district's crumbling 70-year-old building. The project funding is contingent on receiving at least 25% of its funding through state, federal, and private dollars. The district has raised close to $6 million in private pledges and hoped to break ground next spring. However, the Vermont Agency of Education has declined to meet with district officials to discuss state building aid, citing ongoing public rulemaking processes and lack of authority to grant funding before legislative approval.
