Description | Moving Classics: Sonic Bridges (MCSB) is a new project combining new music, moving image and socially engaged practice inspired by previous Creative Europe supported projects, Moving Classics from (CREA 552296) and Moving Classics: Sonic Flux (CREA 607443). MCSB will aim to continue the legacy of the previous project by further developing the artistic cross sectorial collaborative approach developed over the two previous projects. MCSB will bring artists from the partner countries together with producers and social researchers to explore the theme and concept of the 2028 Capital of Culture in Skopje: Culture over Division, through a lens of European identity on the fringes of Europe. It will allow artists to interrogate what it means to be European in a global and local context in these countries by focusing on topics of nation building and branding, independence, migration, Europeanness and Globalisation, |
