Description

Description

Our project aims to retrofit an existing municipal storage and warehousing building to become a multi-purpose building that enhances community engagement and interactions, attracts guests, visitors and new families, and supports diverse and underserved local groups with a focus on mental health, aging in place, education and entertainment for youth. Community organizations currently lack administrative spaces and common rooms will gain access to reliable facilities. The specific organizations that will benefit directly from the retrofit are the 50+ Club, Women?s Arts and Crafts Group, Youth Activity and Recreation Group, Heritage Advisory Committee, and our Sustainable Development Association. By adapting and retrofitting to create a multi-purpose building, we aim to foster a sense of community, promote cultural appreciation, and provide essential resources for underserved populations. The project aligns with the program by enhancing sustainability and resilience in our community.
