Description

The Job creation and Livelihoods Improvement Project aims to promote inclusive economic opportunities and gender equality, with a view to reducing poverty in Mozambique. It targets rural populations and will particularly benefit women and youth, by supporting (i) the development of entrepreneurship in the poultry value chain that includes catalytic upstream and downstream activities, including Public Private Partnership initiatives (PPP), (ii) the development of poultry feed processing facilities and the capacity building of small producers, (iii) the development of the Labor Market Information System (LMI) for Operationalization of an observatory to facilitate the identification and analysis of labor market trends and challenges needed to guide employment, education and training policy reforms. The project will be implemented over a 60-month period beginning in February 2016.
