Description
Description | The project involves the strategic redeployment of the MQ-4C Triton maritime surveillance drone from Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan to Naval Air Station Sigonella in Italy. This move is a tactical response to sophisticated Iranian ballistic missile strikes that threatened the safety of the drone and associated infrastructure in Jordan. The redeployment aims to safeguard the $240 million drone platform by relocating it to a more secure and heavily defended logistics hub in southern Europe, despite operational drawbacks such as increased transit times and political sensitivities. |
