The project involves providing a long-term quasi-equity financing and a three-year renewable working capital facility to Mriya, the 7th largest Ukrainian primary agricultural producer with a proven track record of growing wheat, barley, sugar beet, rapeseed, potatoes, and other crops. The long-term loan will be used for a construction of three grain silos with storage capacity of 100,000 tons each, purchase of farm machinery, and acquisition of lease rights for 165,000 ha of agricultural land, while the three-year facility will be used for working capital. Mriya will use proceeds from the loans to produce wheat, corn, barley, sugar beets, rapeseed and other agricultural commodities for sale to local clients and international traders.
