Description

This project involves the construction of 12 Solar PV plants, part of the Solar PV portfolio of the Argentinian renewables developer MSU Energy. The 12 Solar PV plants are Villa Angela II - 9MW, Villa Angela III - 10MMW, Villa Angela IV - 11MW, Charata I - 15MW, Charata II - 15MW, Charata III - 10MW, Saenz Pena I - 9MW, Saenz Pena II - 11MW, Castelli - 10MW, Ing. Juarez - 15MW, Laguna Yema -15MW, Laguna Yema II - 7MW with combined generated capacity of 137 MW. These plants will be located in Chaco and Formosa provinces. The sponsor company has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with CAMMESA, an Argentinian company which operates the wholesale energy market of the country. The total project cost is $120m, of which $115m will be financed with green bonds issued by MSU Energy. The Banco de Galicia, Banco Supervielle, Banco Itaú and Banco Santander are acting as structuring and placement agents on the issuance of the green bonds.
