"This project involves the improvement, expansion and recovery of the Lot II of MT-246 highway, located in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. The total length of this highway section is 233.2km. The Via Brasil MT-246 Concessionária de Rodovias is the concessionaire of this highway section. The concession contract, signed in 2021, is valid until 2051, allowing the concessionaire to operate the road network and recover investments through toll revenues during this period. The total project cost is $78.3m (R$430m), of which $51m (R$280m) were provided with a loan from the BNDES, while the Via Brasil MT-246 Concessionária de Rodovias group, is responsible for the remaining $27.3m (R$150m), secured with a debenture issuance by the company. The financial close date is July 5th, 2024.
