The goal of the program is to contribute to economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable development in the province of Colon. Its purpose is to boost the province's competitiveness based on the effective management of its natural resources. Specifically, it will: (i) strengthen regional and local mechanisms for governance and deconcentrated and decentralized management; and (ii) promote investments for sustainably managing natural resources, reducing contamination, securing access to sources of safe drinking water, and developing the province's cultural and historic assets.
